The Basics
Name: Dazai Tsuyoi
Age: 18 years
Height: 5'10''
Weight: 265 lbs.
Village: Mist Village
My Character in Depth
Personality:
Tsuyoi is, for the most part, a nice guy. He is driven, and motivated to make his body stronger, for it is his belief; "To master the capabilities of one's mind, one must first master the capabilities of one's body." In his underground apartment is a big living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and that's it, he sleeps on a couch. In this big room, he has a staggering array of exercise equipment; weight vests, a bar on the wall for doing pull-ups, an elliptical running machine, a weight bench and many free-weights for doing bicep curls and other anaerobic weight exercises, a punching bag and space to do push-ups and sit-ups, etc. For the most part, he exercises at home.
When he's with people (99.9% of the time with his clanmates) he likes to play a brutally ear-tearing game of rugby in a muddy field on a rainy day, and participate in the clan's non-official wrestling tournaments, which he had won seven of these tournaments. He likes to read the Martial Philosophies of a select number of ninja, from the Dazai clan and various others. He would really enjoy the book The Art of War by Sun Tzu if it existed in his world. He likes to mosh and head-bang to some of the most violent, hardcore Thrash bands, and he would really enjoy the bands Slayer and Pantera if they existed in his world.
He has a soft spot for the younger children in his clan, believing that they are the future and more than deserve the freedom they enjoy. He used to go to a Taijutsu School, but stopped because of his duties as a ninja. He can act as a great close combat expert, and is often called a "meat-shield" because he is able to protect his comrades using his body without armor. He has the odd tendencies to snap his fingers and crack his knuckles, particularly when he's anxious or angry, he scratches his head if he is confused or thinking about something perplexing, and he cranks his neck when ready for a fight, which makes a very demoralizing crunching sound.
He prefers to overwhelm his opponents with his Taijutsu, using the Style Mokuken (Wooden Fist) to do that. When he's up against stronger opponents he takes a more thoughtful and cautious approach, using his Ishiken (Stone Fist) to soften up the opponent. When he is really angry and/or up against an opponent he wants to hurt, he uses the Gekihanami (Crushing Wave) Style to work around his opponents and overwhelm them with explosive movements. He is a strong believer in the Earth and Water Principles; (Earth Principle) Be strong and unmovable, like a mountain. Do not give the opponent any ground, and take away their ground with force. Like the root against the soil, if you keep pushing and pushing the opponent, something will give, thus the opponent will break and you have already won the fight. (Water Principle) Be fluid with your movements, take what the opponent throws at you, redirect their energy and throw it back, as if the fight has a flow. Move constantly, and work around the opponent, as a wave in the ocean goes around a person standing against it.
Appearance:
Tsuyoi is, for the most part, of a Mesomorphic body type with lots of muscle and bulk. However, all of his bulk is actually made up of mostly muscle tissue, and he can run for quite a ways before getting remotely tired. His skin is of a soft texture, though it doesn't feel that way because of his muscles. His skin is colored white, in a pale tone that never tans, just like the rest of his clan. He has a strong jaw-line and the jaw itself is square in shape.
He wears his Mist Village headband across his forehead, which gives way to a black bandana covering his hair, though locks of his golden brown hair can be seen framing his neck. His eyes are just as aberrant as the rest of his clan, with vanilla colored irises. His palms are big, and his fingers are slightly shorter, but not sausage-sized. His neck is averagely thick and his shoulders are broad, his back is very broad with a set of large muscles. His biceps are well formed with a curve in his arm, bulging out slightly.
He wears a brown tunic with a black martial arts belt, the lower part of his tunic stopping just before his knees. He wears baggy white pants that bunch up around the lower part of his forelegs, giving way to black, traditional ninja tabi boots. On the back of his tunic is the Dazai clan emblem, the kanji for anger, written in scarlet. On the left side of his chest is his sensei's name, telling which School he came from growing up. On his wrists and hands are wrappings. He has a scar going from the left corner of his mouth to the side of his jaw and up to his ear, a scar across the bridge of his nose and an x-shaped scar on his chin.
History:
When Tsuyoi was born, his parents weren't married yet. His father was killed in a bloody war between the Dazai and Kaguya clans. His mother raised him by herself. She was a coldly beautiful woman, who despised the Kaguya clan to the depths of her soul.
One day, Tsuyoi met a young, 15 year old Uchiha girl named Ria, who took a liking to him, thinking he was cute like a puppy. Their friendship lasted until Tsuyoi turned 8 years old. She kept avoiding him, and for the longest time he didn't know why. Until one day, he decided he missed her so badly, he wanted to see her. He went to her house and tracked her down to find her at a lake, with another Uchiha girl. The two were fighting, and it appeared as if the other Uchiha girl was trying to kill Ria. Tsuyoi ran to her defense, but proved to be no match for the Uchiha girl. Little did Tsuyoi know, the other girl was Ria's best friend, and was trying to kill her to get her Mangekyo Sharingan. As it all unraveled to Tsuyoi, his rage skyrocketed, and the Dazai clan Gate of Rage was busted open. He went at the girl with full force, and though her Genjutsu didn't work on him, she was still able to read his moves with her Sharingan. She provoked him to seriously unhealthy amounts of rage. Then, as if all had stopped, Ria stabbed her best friend in the back with a kunai.
The girl died, and Ria got her Mangekyo Sharingan. She used it on Tsuyoi, not to hurt him, but to calm him down.
In the Tsukuyomi, Ria was able to calm him, where she said, "Don't change, stay the way you areā¦", before hugging him and shutting his mind down to sleep. Tsuyoi woke up to find that Ria was gone, knowing that she left the Mist for somewhere else. That is one subject Tsuyoi will not talk about, no matter how much you try to pry him open. He was surrounded by fellow clansmen, who saw what happened. They praised him for being the youngest in the Dazai clan to open the Gate of Rage.
For the next two years at the Academy, he had stayed with his clan-mates only, in an effort to recognize Ria was gone and there was nothing he could do about it. He befriended his clan-mates and decided to forget about the whole thing. However, there were a few boys in his clan that were jealous of him, they wanted to open the Gate of Rage before him. They bullied him, doing various things like tripping him while he would walk by, nearly drowning his head in a toilet and flushing it, and worst of all, some of them just plain beat him up.
One day, he was followed home by one of these bullies. His mother was sick with a case of nerve damage. The bully thrashed him outside of his own house. Tsuyoi's mother ran out to see her son in pretty bad shape. The bully decided to beat on his mother, attempting to rape her. That is when Tsuyoi had enough. His rage skyrocketed again to abnormal, seriously unhealthy amounts of rage, where he had broken past the Gate of Rage and almost opened the Gate of Violence. He scarcely remembers what went on, but the bully was gone, so was his mother. He had blacked out. The ground was soaked with blood. That night, Tsuyoi's mother came home, bloodied up and almost dead. She told him that she had hidden the other boy's body, and Tsuyoi did not know what she was talking about. She informed him that he had savagely disfigured the boy up to the point where the boy was no longer the bully but the bullied. He had beaten him to death. His mother died there in his arms. The rest of the bullies had been scared off by Tsuyoi. He left the Academy with rage in his heart.
For three months, he had lived on government welfare, until an old man named Goutetsu found him. Goutetsu took a liking to Tsuyoi, and invited him for tea. Tsuyoi came to Goutetsu's house, which was actually a dojo. Goutetsu offered to train him to control his rages and train him in Taijutsu. Tsuyoi agreed, and for the next eight years he had trained with Goutetsu and his daughter, Akane. He had slowly opened back up to the rest of his clan, winning seven wrestling tournaments and making a win streak of 36 victories in Rugby for his team.
Now that there are rumors going on about the world going to war, he has joined the Mist Village's ranks of Ninja.
Strength
Bloodlimit/Blood Expansions/Clan:
Dazai
Power Grid:
Strength- 5
Speed- 3
Endurance- 4
Weapons: 1 Ninja bag
Jutsus: (Slots: Mokuken Taijutsu, Ishiken Taijutsu, Gekihanami Taijutsu, 17 Slots left)
Name: White Demon Rage
Rank: C, B, A, S
Special: Clan-specific Chakra Gates, cannot be triggered by will or ended prematurely.
Requirements: Must be a blood member of the Dazai clan.
Description: The Dazai clan member, after feeling intense negative emotions, flies into a screaming blood frenzy. The clan member's eyes glow white, and they thrash around violently, tearing apart everything in sight. This "berserk" state makes their chakra go wild and hard to control, rendering Genjutsu useless on them. The higher the Chakra Gate, the longer the rage lasts and the more physically stronger they get.
(C-rank) Gate of Rage - Slight, steady muscle growth, slight psychotic hallucinations. C-rank Genjutsu and lower is useless against the character.
(B-rank) Gate of Violence - Moderate, normal muscle growth, user hears voices at a slight volume, more psychotic hallucinations. B-rank Genjutsu does not work against the character.
(A-rank) Gate of Brutality - Significant, slightly accelerated muscle growth, user hears loud voices in their head, can't tell friend from foe, wild, uncontrolled hallucinations. A-rank Genjutsu and lower does not work against the character.
(S-rank) Gate of Fatality - Extreme, rapid muscle growth, user attacks anything and anyone in sight, be it walls, rocks, animals, other people, severely manipulated by voices, vision literally goes black and white, user experiences worse hallucinations specifically seeing people out of the corner of their eye, slight risk of going into permanent psychosis. All Genjutsu is rendered useless against the character.
Drawbacks: This rage that the Dazai clan member is feeling slowly eats away at their sanity. Prolonged rage (if done at A-S rank) will induce permanent psychological changes, going into the direction of psychosis and vulnerability to more rage. While they are raging, the further they go into psychosis, the harder it is to tell friend from foe.
Name: White Demon Adrenaline Spike
Rank: C-, B- and A-rank
Special: Clan Secret Technique
Requirements: Gate of Rage (C-rank), Gate of Violence (B-rank), Gate of Brutality (A-rank), Strength Level 3 or higher
Description: The user's metabolic rate increases drastically, pumping a surge of pure adrenal fluids into their veins. This energy regenerates constantly, and is proven to have the following effect; the user, no matter how badly beaten or battered or strained, loses energy more slowly depending on the Gate broken open. (C-rank = loses 1/4th less energy, B-rank = loses 1/2 less energy, A-rank = loses 2/3rds less energy)
Drawbacks: While the user is tweaked on adrenaline, upon calming down their energy is reduced to what it was before the technique was activated, at higher ranks (B-and A-rank), their base energy is depleted and they cannot perform or maintain strenuous activity.
Name: White Demon Pain Insensitivity
Rank: C-, B- and A-rank
Special: Clan Secret Technique
Requirements: Gate of Rage (C-rank), Gate of Violence (B-rank), Gate of Brutality (A-rank), Endurance Level 3
Description: The user's pain receptors dull up to a point where they no longer feel as much physical pain from attacks, the amount of pain ignored depends on which Gate is broken open. (C-rank = ignores 1/3rd of pain, B-rank = ignores 1/2 of pain, A-rank ignores 2/3rd of pain). NOTE: This technique cannot be used if the White Demon Pain Intolerance technique is in effect.
Drawbacks: After the user has calmed down and the rage goes away, they begin to feel a physical numbing sensation throughout their body, in extreme cases this feeling is strong enough to highly risk temporary paralysis.
Name: White Demon Pain Intolerance
Rank: C-, B- and A-rank
Special: Clan Secret Technique
Requirements: Gate of Rage (C-rank), Gate of Violence (B-rank), Gate of Brutality (A-rank), Strength Level 3
Description: The user's pain receptors and adrenal glands are connected through means of the Chakra Circulatory System, making it so that feeling pain triggers anger within the user. The anger taints the chakra energy and sends a signal triggering a chemical reaction within the user's muscles, building them and forcing them to work harder. (C-rank = muscle tightening, can lift 100 more lbs. B-rank = muscle expansion, can lift 200 more lbs. A-rank = severe adrenal spike triggers a chemical reaction within the muscles, can lift 300 more lbs. NOTE: This energy does not stack, meaning at A-rank the maximum temporary strength bonus is 300 lbs. NOT 600 lbs. Also, this technique cannot be used if the White Demon Pain Insensitivity technique is in effect.)
Drawbacks: The strength building within the user is temporary and goes away when the user calms down. If, in the rage, the user over exerts their muscles, they become fragile and susceptible to pulling and tearing of the tissue.
Name: Mokuken: Moku Stance
Rank: D
Special: Mokuken Taijutsu
Requirements: 1 Slot
Description: An Earth style stance, where the user stands with their knees bent slightly, feet roughly shoulder-length apart. The user holds up one fist in front of them to block incoming attacks, and keeps their other fist guarding the rest of their body, kept in preparation for powerful attacks.
Drawbacks: None
Name: Mokuken: Puncturing Root
Rank: C
Special: Mokuken Taijutsu
Requirements: Moku Stance
Description: The user punches with the fist kept towards their body, effectively switching their stance. If the opponent doesn't put up their guard, the user can punch several times, switching stances with each punch.

Name: Mokuken: Ensnaring Vine
Rank: C
Special: Mokuken Taijutsu
Requirements: Moku Stance
Description: The user waits for their opponent to punch them, blocks the punch, then goes in with their front hand in a hook-like fashion, the hand facing outward. The user snakes their arm around the opponent's neck then pulls them down into a guillotine style choke.
Drawbacks: If the user is not quick enough, the opponent can immediately lift their head up and avoid being choked.
Name: Mokuken: Cutting Trunks
Rank: C
Special: Mokuken Taijutsu
Requirements: Moku Stance
Description: The user goes into a clinch with the opponent (where the user grabs the opponent's shoulders, keeping their arms in between the opponent's arms), and does knee strikes to the opponent's body
Drawbacks: The user's clinch can be countered with a head-butt and various other attacks if the opponent knows what they are doing.
Name: Mokuken: Hit The Branch
Rank: C
Special: Mokuken Taijutsu
Requirements: Moku Stance
Description: The user puts the opponent in a clinch and pushes their face down against a knee-strike.
Drawbacks: Like said before, the opponent can break the clinch or catch the knee-strike with their hands.
Name: Mokuken: Falling Logs
Rank: C
Special: Mokuken Taijutsu
Requirements: Moku Stance
Description: The user puts the opponent into a clinch, then hooks their left arm around the left side of the opponent's neck. The user steps to the side as the opponent is in a face-up choke. The user than falls backward onto their bottom, taking the opponent with them.
Drawbacks: The opponent can break out of the clinch and that leaves the user open to a counter-attack. If executed properly, the opponent is on the ground with the user and may attempt an arm bar.
Name: Ishiken: Ishi Stance
Rank: D
Special: Ishiken Taijutsu
Requirements: 1 Slot
Description: This is an Earth style stance where the user has their knees bent slightly, feet roughly shoulder length apart, fists at the user's sides in an upward, chambered position.

Drawbacks: Can easily be countered by grapples and by parrying the punches, redirecting them away.
Name: Ishiken: West Stone Combination
Rank: C
Special: Ishiken Taijutsu
Requirements: Ishi Stance
Description: The user turns slightly to the right, hitting the opponent in the solar plexus with a sideways hammer fist strike with the left fist, throws a hook punch to the opponent's sternum with their right fist, then throws a shovel-hook punch to the opponent's liver area with their left fist.
