Battles are a major part of a shinobi world. From the Great Shinobi World Wars, to tiny battles that occur on missions, fighting is a shinobi's cause and calling. Some fight for glory, and others just for the thrill.
Battles on the site are done under basic rules for fighting in roleplay. Neither side can make or start an attack on their first posts when entering a thread.
If distances or other arrangements are not stated then a person's opponent gains the ability to choose how these arrangements occur. For example, if a person fails to say how they fire off a round of fireballs their opponent may say that they fired it in a straight line.
If a person misses their IIC time, or Inactive In Character time, then their opponent can take the advantage of saying what attacks hit their opponent.
A single post in a fight last 5 seconds unless you state that it last shorter than that. In these 5 seconds you are trying to take out your opponent in the best way possible.

Strength in Battle Strength in battle is determined by the Grid System. Here is the Grid System. Handsigns in BattleIn battles handsigns can be a major drawback. Handsigns are the amount of time that it takes a person to perform jutsus that require you to form handsigns. The following ranks require the amount of handsigns listed beside them: E-Rank Techniques: 5 Handsigns D-Rank Techniques: 10 Handsigns C-Rank Techniques: 20 Handsigns B-Rank Techniques: 35 Handsigns A-Rank Techniques: 50 Handsigns S-Rank Techniques: 70 Handsigns The following is how fast a person may perform these handsigns based upon their Power Grid-Section Speed. 1 Speed Point: 1 Handsign a Second 2 Speed Points: 3 Handsigns a Second. 3 Speed Points: 6 Handsigns a Second. 4 Speed Points: 9 Handsigns a Second. 5 Speed Points: 15 Handsigns a Second. 6 Speed Points: 20 Handsigns a Second. 7 Speed Points: 30 Handsigns a Second.
